(a) Location:

21°46' North Latitude
72° 09' East Longitude

(b) Topography and Physical Features:
(i) Bhavnagar is a costal town. General slope dips in the northeasterly direction at the apex of Gulf of Cambay.
 
(ii) Water body:
Gaurishankar lake- Big Lake of about 3.81 sq km area, used partially for water supply and place for recreation
Gangajalia talav- Small tank situated in the hart of the city
 

(iii) Hillocks:
Local hillocks and mound are in around Gaurishankar lake and Takhteshwar area.

 

(iv) River:
Small non-perinial river named Kansaranala passing through outer area of the city.
