COMPUTER FACILITY AT PRESENT AVAILABLE WITH MUNICIPAL CORPORATION:

In view of the income of Municipal Corporation, the Departments which are considered as main source of Income viz. the works of Octroi Department, House Tax Department and Tax Collection Department etc. carried out through Computers.

For effective functioning of the Technical Department of Municipal Corporation, Building, Lighting, T.P.O., T.D.O., Planning, Garage etc. Departments have been allotted with Computers and necessary Softwares are also being prepared.

To provide public services of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation more effectively, Service Departments viz. Health [Birth & Death], Water Works, Drainage, Filter etc. Departments have been equipped with Computers. With an objective to make administrative works of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation more speedier and effective, the administrative departments viz. Legal, C.P.O., Accounts, Election Branch have been allotted with Computers and all important works are carried out on Computers.

The citizens have been made available with the following additional facilities by Computerization :

1	All the bills of Property Tax/Water Tax are made available immediately printed on Single Computerize Window.
2	On 31st March during last eight years, the billing process of 1,25,000 accounts and 81,000 Water Tax accounts has been completed by the Computer Department., which is a big achievement.
3	All details of payment of Property Tax paid by any individual during last 10 years are made available on-line by Computer on providing Account Number.
4	On providing four details - area of construction, zone, purpose of use and number of floors of any property, the information regarding assessment of Monthly Rent and Yearly Tax is made available online on Computer.
5	On providing Effect Date and Purpose of Use of any property, the information regarding amount of tax upto current year is made available online.
6	Full detailed receipts of the tax paid by individuals are issued.
7	All details of Water Tax are also provided through Computers.
8	On providing only the name and address for Water Tax Account, the information of the account is immediately provided by Computer Department online.
9	At present necessary information is provided immediately and effectively to the Government by e-mail by connecting Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation with GSWAN
10	At present approx. 45 important departments of Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation are connected with LAN.
