There
are two divisions under I.C.D.S. Scheme in Urban
area. [1] Division-1 since 1985 and [2] Division-2
has started functioning since 1996. |

Both
the said divisions are working under 100% grant
of the Government. |

There
are 111 approved Centres under Division-1 and 150
approved centers under Division-2. All the centers
are working. There are total 261 wo4king centers. |

The
benefit of the said scheme is extended to each beneficiary
by allotting one center per population of one thousand
by covering backward areas of Bhavnagar City, in
which children between the age of 0 to 6 yrs., and
pregnant-women delivering child have been covered
as beneficiaries. |

The
beneficiary target of 7200 in Division-1 and 9700
in Division-2. The benefit has been extended to
total 16,900 beneficiaries. |

Total
population of 2,64,094 persons of backward areas
of the city has been covered in Division-1 and 2. |

Under
Special Ancillary Scheme by separating Harijan areas
and by carrying out survey of its beneficiaries,
the benefit has been granted to total 1900 beneficiaries
of Division-1 and 2. |

out efforts are made by this survey to bring down
the birth rate and reduce the quantum of child death
and development of school and for reducing the death
rate of pregnant-women delivering child and to maintain
health of everyone under some schemes. |
